Terry Allen

Founder, Pivotal Capital

Terry Allen founded Pivotal Capital Advisory Group in 2002 to provide objective project and corporate finance advice and to raise capital for clients. With nearly 30 years of advisory and banking experience, she has held a variety of positions representing corporations and underwriters in financing transactions. Prior to founding Pivotal, Ms. Allen was Senior Vice President and Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers, responsible for the Project Finance and Privatization practice in Calgary from 2000-2002. From 1996-2000, Ms. Allen independently advised clients on domestic and international financings, as well as oil and gas investments. Prior to being an independent financial advisor to companies and governments, she was a corporate banker managing the senior energy portfolios at TD Bank and CIBC.Ms. Allen graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.Admin) in 1985, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Institute-Certified Corporate Director (ICD.D) designations.Terry is a member of the International Women’s Forum, and has served on several corporate and not-for-profit boards over the past 20 years. She is currently a member of the Calgary Airport Authority Board of Directors, the Alberta Securities Commission Board, the CEO Advisory Circle for the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business Advisory Board (University of Regina) and the Salvation Army Advisory Board in Calgary.
