Member Experience

60 TIGER 21 Members traveled to Singapore in June for the 2025 Global Summit. The three-day event delivered thought-provoking insights from some of Asia’s top thought leaders, access to Singapore’s most iconic and exclusive venues, and ample opportunities for Member collaboration.

The Global Summit’s distinct blend of learning opportunities, cultural activities, and small-group gatherings was carefully designed to deepen global connections.

“Within each TIGER 21 event, we intentionally carve out smaller, more intimate spaces where Members can truly get to know one another,” shared Lisa Holladay, TIGER 21 Chief Experience Officer.

“For this year’s Global Summit, these included our signature one-on-one Walk & Talks, roundtable discussions led by Member experts, and small-group cultural activities that showcased Singapore’s highlights.”

Cutting-Edge Learning from Top Experts

With international collaboration at its heart, the Global Summit agenda centered around learning sessions with distinguished thought leaders from the Asia-Pacific region. Topics included private equity investing in Asia, resilient investing in the face of geopolitical uncertainty, and sustainable city living with a spotlight on Singapore.

Additional highlights included:

  • A rare speaking engagement from Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, who addressed the ways AI is changing VC investing
  • A talk on longevity and aging with Professor Andrea Maier, Oon Chiew Seng Professor in Medicine, Healthy Ageing, and Dementia Research
  • An intimate fireside chat with Tan Su Shan, CEO of DBS Bank
  • A presentation on self-transformation and the pursuit of happiness from Ong Tze Boon, Executive Chairman for ONG&ONG Architecture

“Professor Andrea Maier was a real highlight for me. She’s the undisputed number-one authority on longevity in Asia, and I was thrilled that Members got the chance to learn from her,” noted TIGER 21 Chair Kanu Gupta.

“Professor Maier also presented at the Singapore 01 and Global 02 Meetings that followed the Global Summit,” he continued. “Members got an hour with her to ask her absolutely anything. It was a priceless opportunity.”

At the Heart of It All, the Power of Connection

In between learning sessions, Members enjoyed the chance to connect and learn from each other during  a morning Pickleball Tournament, city walking tours, and mindful movement sessions.

Additionally, five TIGER 21 Members—including TIGER 21 founder Michael Sonnenfeldt—were tapped to host small-group roundtables. Members were invited to choose the topic that interested them most:

  • “Buried Treasure: Unlocking Alpha at the Intersection of Critical Minerals and Mining Technology”
  • “Japan 2025: The Onset of a Market Resurgence”
  • “Observations of a Macro Investor: Today’s Environment and the Biggest Mistakes I’ve Seen over 15 Years Advising on Investment Strategy”
  • “Investing in Indian Equities: Code, Craft, Character”
  • “Family Office – Impossible Dream” (with founder Michael Sonnenfeldt)

An Unforgettable Setting

The 2025 Global Summit was hosted at the historic Raffles Hotel Singapore, the birthplace of the Singapore Sling.

Planned excursions to the National Gallery and Singapore Botanic Gardens, dine-arounds in Dempsey Hill, and guided downtown walking tours of historic sites immersed Members in Singapore’s unique blend of heritage and cutting-edge modernity.

After the event was over, a number of Members extended their stay in Singapore to attend a Pop-Up Meeting, facilitated by TIGER 21 Chief Operating Officer, Greg Wells. Pop-Up Meetings create opportunities for traveling Members to learn and connect within the signature TIGER 21 Meeting format while offering a more casual environment that fosters Member collaboration.

“Hosting 15 Members from Dubai, Italy, India, Canada, and the U.S. made for a diverse and dynamic gathering—TIGER 21 at its best,” Wells shared. “Our Issues & Opportunities session sparked particularly rich dialogue. One Member described it as ‘a masterclass in global peer insight.'”

Looking Forward

The TIGER 21 events calendar holds more opportunities for Members to learn, access, and connect in 2025, both virtually and in person. Upcoming in-person highlights include the annual Summer Soirée in the Hamptons and the 2026 Global Exchange, TIGER 21’s signature Member Conference.
