New York, NY – February 9, 2017 – TIGER 21, the premier peer-to-peer learning network for high-net-worth investors, today announced the four non-profit organizations recognized by its annual Philanthropic Recognition Award program. Each year, TIGER 21 invites Members to spotlight the vital efforts of the various non-profit organizations they have founded or are deeply involved.

Two of this year’s organizations were applauded for their noteworthy work in supporting youth education. First was was the SEED Foundation, the United States’ first and only network of public, college-preparatory boarding schools designed to serve students who require a 24-hour, immersive learning environment in order to achieve their full academic and personal potential. SEED serves more than 900 students, from grades 6 through 12, in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Miami. Also honored was the Regent Park School of Music, a Toronto-based, non-profit community school which helps young people from ages 3-18 express their creativity through music and subsequently flourish personally and academically

Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation (Rainbow), a national nonprofit organization, was recognized for its work in ensuring community-centric, affordable housing for families and individuals of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds while simultaneously supporting residents’ well-being. Rainbow provides free afterschool educational programs for youth, computer literacy courses, life-skills training, and financial management advice.

The Fanatical Change Foundation, based in Houston, TX, was noted for its unique model which allows it to operate with zero overhead and permits every dollar raised to be allocated directly to a family that has suffered a recent, life-altering tragedy.

Submissions were assessed by a panel of TIGER 21 Members, who judged each entry based on a number of factors including: the compelling characteristics of each non-profit’s vision and mission, Members’ level of involvement in establishing and maintaining the organization, and the breadth of its donor base. Once the award recipients were chosen, each was asked to create a 2-3-minute informational video that was unveiled at the TIGER 21 Annual Conference in Boca Raton, FL, which took place from February 1-3, 2017. As part of the recognition, TIGER 21 also donated to each of the four non-profit honorees in order to further support their valuable work.

“Our Members recognize the importance of taking an active role in meaningful philanthropic ventures,” said Barbara Goodstein, CEO of TIGER 21. “It is heartening to see them translate their entrepreneurial skills into identifying and directly addressing societal needs. Their continued commitment to driving progress and making a positive impact on the world around them is commendable and, we hope, inspiring to future generations.”

TIGER 21 Members, who comprise some of the most successful entrepreneurs and investors in the world, manage and oversee a wide range of charitable and non-profit organizations. Further information about the award submissions can be found here.
