Health, wellness, and longevity often emerge as some of the most meaningful and personal topics of discussion within the TIGER 21 Member community. In November, TIGER 21 London Chapter Members and their guests gathered for the TIGER 21 Longevity Summit: The Future of Healthspan, a half-day immersion into the fast-evolving world of proactive aging, clinical innovation, and emerging investment opportunity.

Hosted in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic and Deutsche Bank, the Longevity Summit brought together leading physicians, researchers, and investors to explore how advances in medicine and capital allocation are reshaping what it means to age well. The in-depth sessions provided a scientific deep dive along with a look at the opportunities shaping the future.

Agenda highlights included:

Keynote Address: Longevity and Cancer

In a keynote address, Dr, Muntzer Mughal, Senior Physician at Cleveland Clinic, explained how longevity is rapidly shifting from reactive care to proactive, preventative approaches. He emphasized that early detection, comprehensive screening, and integrative care models are transforming patient outcomes, especially in areas such as cancer, metabolic disease, and cognitive health. The conversation reinforced that increasing healthspan (not just lifespan) requires earlier diagnostics and personalized interventions.

Clinical Panel: “Inflammation in Action – New Frontiers in Cognitive, Cardiac & Metabolic Health”

This session explored how inflammation drives some of the most significant threats to long-term health—including cognitive decline, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders. The discussion also highlighted the growing toolkit for early intervention, biomarker-based monitoring, and personalized care plans designed to prevent disease before it starts.

The panel included Dr. Paul Jarman – Consultant Neurologist, Cleveland Clinic; Professor Barbara McGowan, Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology; Professor Bernard Prendergast – Consultant Cardiologist and Chair of Cardiology, Cleveland Clinic London; and moderator Dr. Jamanda Haddock – Chief of Staff, Chair of Diagnostic Services Institute and Clinical Associate Professor in Radiology.

Investor Panel: Where Smart Capital Is Moving

The second half of the program shifted toward the investment landscape. Moderated by James Whittaker, Head of Private Bank at Deutsche Bank, the investment panel gathered leading investors actively shaping the longevity capital ecosystem: Simon Burr – Vice President of Venture Investments, Novo Holdings; Matt Cooper – Co-Founder & General Partner, Exceptional Ventures; Knut Ove Harlem – Managing Partne, Onepointfive Capital Partners; and John Gebeily – Co-Founder, Kadmos Capital.

Together they examined emerging markets in therapeutic development, digital health, early-detection technologies, and the infrastructure needed to support longer, healthier lives. The conversation underscored a clear takeaway: longevity is no longer a niche field—it’s an accelerating sector attracting world-class talent and capital.

Opportunities to Connect

In addition to learning sessions, the event agenda allowed time for Members to engage directly with the speakers as well as take part in peer discussions to compare learnings and personal approaches to longevity. Guests were also invited to take private tours of Cleveland Clinic’s Moorgate Outpatient Centre, highlighting the real-world applications of the diagnostic and preventative strategies discussed throughout the morning.

Looking Ahead

The TIGER 21 Longevity Summit affirmed that we are entering a new era defined by the intention of living “better”. By blending medical expertise, scientific innovation, and investment insight, TIGER 21 aims to continue helping Members navigate healthspan challenges, and the emerging opportunities related to capital, technology, and care.
