Jason DeGroff is the Chair of Raleigh 02. He’s spent his career helping companies, from startups to large enterprises, scale with intention by building strong teams, crafting go-to-market strategies and aligning operations with long-term vision. His experience spans from executive leadership to business development, brand positioning, and organizational design. Today, Jason works with founders and early-stage teams to strengthen culture, streamline internal systems, and develop practical growth strategies. Jason is known for his thoughtful, collaborative leadership style, and for helping teams think more deeply, and lead with purpose. Originally from upstate New York, Jason has called Raleigh home since 1997. He and his wife, Olga, have two children, Sasha and Ben and outside of work, he’s passionate about travel, tennis, running, live music and vinyl records. -

Mike Fields is Chair of Raleigh 01. He is a Finance Consultant, Investor and former Chief Operating Officer of The Strategic Group and Hatteras Funds. Mike currently serves as an Independent Director to several registered alternative investment funds. He has spent most of his career focused on the management of alternative investments and tax mitigation investment strategies. Mike and his family have been avid supporters of various local charitable organizations. Mike lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Maria and their three daughters.
