Jay Goldberg is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Mosaic Advisors. Mr. Goldberg’s career has spanned some of the most influential firms on Wall Street, including Merrill Lynch, Drexel Burnham, and Oppenheimer and Co. His focus shifted to Bank Wealth Management Platforms in 2002 when he was named as one of the six officers charged with forming the initial Wealth Management Group at Amegy Bank. In 2005, he joined a boutique planning and investment advisory firm, eventually acquired by BBVA Compass Bank, where he served as a Director of Financial Planning for their Wealth Management Group until the formation of Mosaic.
In January 2012, Mr. Goldberg and his two partners formed Mosaic Advisors as a multi-family office designed to meet the highly specialized and ever-changing needs of successful families. The firm’s expertise includes tax planning (both income and estate), asset protection strategies, business succession planning and overall family governance. Their clients, comprised of successful families, high level corporate executives, and closely-held business owners, engage Mosaic to review their existing planning and to design, implement, and maintain complex estate and business succession plans. A native Houstonian who attended St. John’s School, Mr. Goldberg graduated with a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, N.Y., where he majored in both economics and international relations. He received his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2006 after course study at Rice University in Houston.
