He has deep knowledge about investing and finance, and advising family offices and private investors. The Bank was sold in 2012, and Eric today is an avid Private Equity investor, multiple board member, and philanthropist. Eric’s multinational background has given him the ability to deal with many cultures. Speaking five languages helps in this context. Eric and his wife Esme (American born) have four children. Eric has been a semi-professional soccer player, a Squash player and reaching his retirement age, now plays Golf!

  Dr. Eelco Fiole, CFA, is Chair of Switzerland02. With 30 years in finance, of which two decades as NED, CFO and COO with AuM of USD 17 billion of alternative assets, he is founder (2015) and Managing Partner of Alpha Governance Partners, a boutique, global fiduciary partnership. He chairs a.o. the Council of the Institute of Directors in London, the Investment Committee of Aiglon College, the Advisory Board of DEC Institute (digital assets), and is an IFC nominee director candidate and honorary professor in Finance Ethics (Neuchâtel).

  Clients and peers value his integrity, situational awareness, and lateral thinking. Eelco has over two decades of private exposure to China and holds a.o. a PhD in Economics (Basel), nine further academic degrees and various professional designations. In 2024, he received the Exemplar Award of the DCRO-Institute, in 2022 the CFA Institute Inspirational Leadership Award, and in 2021 a Fellowship from the Institute of Directors. He practices Krav Maga and, as a single father, enjoys diving (PADI Dive Master) and skiing with his teenage son.
