  Howard Atkinson is the Chair of Toronto 04. Howard has extensive experience in the wealth management industry including executive roles with major Canadian mutual fund and exchange traded fund (ETF) companies. He was a co – founder of Horizons ETFs (now Global X Canada) and is a best-selling author of four books including The New Investment Frontier: A Guide to Exchange Traded Funds for Canadians (Insomniac Press, 2001), the first book in the world devoted to ETFs. Howard has served as a corporate director for numerous boards spanning public, private and not-for profit entities. As a graduate of the University of New Orleans (B. Sc. Economics), Howard has also earned his CFA, CIMA ®, and ICD.D designations. Howard lives in Toronto with his wife Deb and is passionate about golf, fitness and travel.

  Leon Goren is Chair of Toronto 01 and 02. Involved in various businesses as an active investor and operator, today, the majority of his time is dedicated as the owner and CEO of PEO Leadership. He is involved in building communities of knowledgeable and respected business leaders, by developing opportunities for shared insights and experience. Goren started his career with Deloitte and earned his CPA, CA professional designation after graduating from the University of Western Ontario. He moved on quickly, beginning his entrepreneurial endeavors by founding justwhiteshirts.com and creating one of Canada’s first online success stories. Leon has been recognized for bringing the dot com retail experience to Canadians through a combination of online, catalog, and brick and mortar channels. Today, as a recognized authority on leadership, business strategy, and building a financial legacy, Leon is consistently invited to address various business audiences, including the graduating classes of Chartered Accountants. His thought leadership is published in the CA Magazine, The National Post and The Globe and Mail, Canada’s national newspaper. Today you can find him interviewing some of the world’s top thought leaders on both his Snippets podcast and The Way Forward Live Webcasts. Leon is currently on the advisory boards of UMBRA and IHHP. He lives in Toronto, is married with 3 children and is active in sports including cycling, triathlons, and skiing.
